Kerrnel Reyes' Proportion Post

Part 1

ratio - The numerical relation between two amounts showing the number of times one value contains or is contained within the other. Ex. 4:6, 1:7, 7:9, 2:6

rate - The measure, quantity, or frequency, typically one measured against some other quantity or measure. ''the crime rate'' Ex. $1.69 per 100 g or $1.69/100g is a rate

proportion -  a relationship that says that two ratios or two ratios or two rates are equal, can be written in fraction form: Ex.

Part 2

<<<<1. 5 hours to travel 360 kilometers is about _____km/h.

2.Emma saves 28 cents of every dollar that she         earns.  Emma earned $75 last week.  How much money did Emma save last week?
                                                                                                                         v

Part 3

3/4 = 12/16: 1. There numerators are multiples to each other. And it's denominators too.
                    2. There equivalent fractions to each other,
                    3. You can check it by doing the baseball method, vertical method and horizontal method.

4/9 = 16/32 - These set of fractions are not equivalent to each other and if you try to check if they're correct by using the 3 methods they won't match to each other.

Part 4

I think this is a good video about proportion, this could help you please watch it:

 Task 5

1. Does this seem fair?
No, it's not fair at all.
2. With what you know about proportion look and read what is in the image above.  Does it seem just and fair?
No, because the unit rates of both sentences are just to far from each other and it is obviously not fair for the homeless man, this should be change.
3. Why have you made this choice?
I have made this choice because it's obviously unfair and if you use my steps in part 2 you'll understand what I'm talking about.

I would've sentence the Ex-CEO for life sentence because it would take me for life to earn that kind of money and give the homeless man 6 months-2 years of sentence because it's just unfair and I would give the homeless man some money to start off a new life and future.

Bonus:

Q: How tall are the trees and what is the guy's approximate height
A: OK, the guy in the picture is in his adolescence stage of his life and an average height of a Canadian in his adolescence is about 5'3, the trees height is about 3 of the guy's height so 5'3'' x 3 is about 15'8'' approximately so the trees' height is about 15 feet and 8 inches.

  1. One star is that you explained the question 3 on part four with proportion. Another star is that you had different colours to attract the eye instead of just the colour black. The final star is that you explained everything with examples. One wish I have is that you should make some fonts a little bigger and rearrange things and everything else will be just fine!
